한국어 과자 Hoddeok (설탕 팬케이크) + One more Special Korean Sweet
Korean Sweets Hoddeok (Sugar Pancake)
Since I have started learning Korean and getting more knowledge about it's history and culture I really at this time would like to focus on Hoddeok for a minute (delicious) and other Korean food. "Hoddeok is a flour dough pancake filled with sugar syrup inside. It’s one of the most popular street snacks in Korea.he dough for Hoddeok (hotteok) is made from wheat flour, water, milk, sugar, and yeast. The dough is allowed to rise for several hours. Handful-sized balls of this stiff dough are filled with a sweet mixture, which may contain brown sugar, honey, chopped peanuts, and cinnamon. The filled dough is then placed on a greased griddle, and pressed flat into a large circle with a special tool with a stainless steel circle and wooden handle as it cooks. Hotteok is usually eaten during the winter season but it is not recommended to overindulge due its high sugar content; a single hotteok may have as many as 230 calories.

Bungeoppangs

Bungeoppangs are made using an appliance similar to a waffle iron. The batter is poured into a fish-shaped mold red bean paste is added then more batter to hold the red bean paste. The mold is closed and roasted. In Korean, "bungeo "붕어" means a kind of fish, and "ppang "빵" means bread.Bungeoppang is sold as a snack by open-air food vendors throughout Korea during winter there is also bungeoppang-shaped waffles filled with ice cream and pat (sweetened and boiled red beans or azuki beans). These waffles are usually produced and sold by retailers not by open-air food vendors.
